Want to hit a trail with the family this coming up Sunday. I was thinking Eagle Lakes trail right off of highway 80 by Signal Peak. We did it in the snow a few years back and it was a great trail in the snow. Unfortunately I don't know how much snow is on the trail and if its doable. If anyone knows please post up. I am open to other suggestions as well but I definately want to take a day trip in the Jeep.

Directions: Take highway 80 east towards Reno. Exit at Eagle Lakes road near Donner Summit. Go north under the freeway and follow the road around to the west. Turn north across the road from the Indian Springs campground. Follow the trail a short distance to the staging area.

I think it's just that you get out way more than I do so it seems like I'm always missing. Work has been pretty rough and I haven't been wheeling at all lately. In fact, I think the only time I've been off-road since August was a day at Rocktoberfest and I wheeled with you there.

I have a set of (5) of these from my JK. I pulled them off when it had 15,000 miles on it.

I am selling them, but not really. In other words, I've been keeping them for a future need, but if somebody wanted to buy them, I would make them a good deal on the whole set. :)

It looks like it would be an upgrade for your set, and the Goodyear Wrangler SRAs are in very good condition. Then you could paint your existing wheels black, and put 38" IROKS on them.

I have my stock wheels still, but I put rubi take offs on it a few months back and thats the damaged one. Hopefully be able to get one or switch back to the puny 27" lol :)

The snow was hard and crusty, but once you broke through the crust it was sugar snow ... NO compaction = NO traction! Dropped to 4 lbs. of air and stayed on top most of the time. My repair/replacement parts were supposed to arrive on Friday, for a Saturday installation, and the Sunday SNOW RUN. But they didn't. Instead, they will be arriving on Monday, which doesn't help. :pissed:

AWESOME RUN!! I'll tell ya, runnin in the front plowin the trail makes all the different....THAT SNOW WAS EPIC!! I've never plowed through 3 feet deep powder before and had so much traction!! Good to meet all the new people and see old friends!! Thanks to everyone who showed up and made This run turn out to be another EPIC SNOW RUN!! I've got to say it was the best snow I've wheel this season!! Here's a video from the FRONT!! :D

Larry , towards the middle and I am sure the back of the pack the conditions were totally different than what it looked like in the pics.. The holes dug out buy everyones tires and the powder getting packed and icey made it a challenge for some getting out of those water holes. It was really fun. Lots of recoverys of mini recoveries all day. :grinpimp:

I don't know....I went through so many "Water Cossings" I began to loss count!! I do know I went up past the Eagle Lake turn pretty far!! By myself:shaking: Larry wasn't to far behind me but he also wasn't to close!:D I stopped were the trail get narrow and has a drop on the left.....that I was sliding into!! I had to turn around and got stuck for about 5 mins due to the ice under the FRESH POWDER!!:laughing: That run made me want to go back!! OH NOOOOOO....:grinpimp:

Good run. I had a great time. There were a lot of rigs and I feel bad for the ones at the back...I know I slowed em down a few times. Next time, we will have to stagger the groups a bit...although I think someone came in at 1pm and caught up to us quickly!

I didn't drink during the day either. Well, I had 1 and only 1, Bud Light around 6 pm Saturday evening. No other alcohol was consumed the rest of the weekend.
