For the anglers out their, post your most prized catch, tell me when and where you caught it, bait and rod set up used, and whether or not it became dinner fare. Include type boat you used if applicable.

Apparently not...I think there's a bit of hydrophobia here...afterall, I suppose mud and slick rock is the de jour activity..not compatible with boating and fishing;)

Mostly on Lake Tippycanoe in Indiana, some on lake Wawasee and Dewart
The largemouth was average (for me), the muskie was nothing compared to the state record from little tippy lake a couple of years ago @ 48 lbs!!!
I am going to catch a bigger crappie this week if they cooperate!!!

Nice work HIT...I lived in SOBE, and then Hollywood, for 10 years, and have to admit, I can't take the year round heat wave...but what I do miss is the fishing...in shore and off, it's the best on the east coast as far as I'm concerned...a boater's paradise too.

My buddy Tom and I were out on his 21' Trophy. We had a no luck day so far fly lining sardines at Avalon Bank (just off Catalina Island) We moved to the outer oil rigs and I decided to flyline a 6" mackeral that got in with the dines at the bait barge. Tom laughed, telling me that the macs were too big. After I landed the first yellowtail, he wrote it off to luck. When I hooked the second and was fighting it in, he got started looking hard for another mac in the tank. Too bad for him, no more lousy "big" bait. Filleted them out, marinated in italian dressing, grilled and served with cilantro butter and fried rice.

Biggest Catch.
44" wahoo in cabo san lucas mexico. We were on a charter boat, fly fishing. Caught it on a Winston 10 weight and a ross reel as it followed a teaser in. Longest fight of my life by far (close to an hr.) thanks to the great captain and some major league shock tippit. Didnt eat it (i hate fish) so we gave it to the deck hands.

My biggest was at a local fishin hole at the reservoir. 17# 42" Carp grabbed my line and took nearly 30 minutes to tire out before I got a look at him. Gotta pic around here somewhere... gotta dig that one out. I'll post back if I find it.
Oh, and also a 53" baby Mako shark on the Avalon Shoals right at the dropoff a few years back. Out on my Uncle Kev's boat to show him how to navigate a little better with his GPS. AV SHO was the only saved waypoint, so we headed out there. I picked up a Sea Robin on some cut squid and while I was reeling him in, the shark took him about 10 yards out from the transom. Great fight. Tossed him back before I even thought about how some folks might like a mako steak or 10.
That's about the extent of my awesome fish.

WeirdAsiaNews reports that a Thai fisherman caught what is believed to be the largest carp in history. It weights about 260 lbs, while the old record was only 88 lbs.

Bowfishing is great! 2nd most redneck thing in the world (2nd of course to noodling... which I DO NOT do). My boyfriend got me in to it when we met 2 years ago and its a blast! (coming from a girl that grew up in the city)
