I didn't see this posted here and figured it might help some other jk owners here.
I got this idea off the other website.
Step 1. Remove A/C Rings - just turn the ring and the mechanism will slide out. The rings will pop off the mechanism (see pic below)
Step 2 - Wipe down with alcohol wipes
Step 3 - Spray paint the rings with a can of spray paint made for plastic. I got mine at AutoZone for like $7
Step 4 - apply 2-3 more coats
Step 5 - Install and enjoy

*note - you can also paint other things. I painted my ashtray lid too as you can tell in this pic below

I put a JEEP sticker on mine the other day and was thinking about a write up.
Step 1 – Decide where to put the Jeep sticker
Step 2 – Clean the area thoroughly
Step 3 – Use blue painters tape to attach the sticker and lift it up 180*
Step 4 – Remove the backing of the sticker
Step 5 – Carefully curl the sticker on the body and use a plastic putty knife to prevent bubbles
Step 6 – Remove the blue tape and the back of the sticker (make sure the letters JEEP stay put)
Step 7 – Stand back and admire your work
Wow, stickers are more complicated that spray painting the vent rings

Cool mod...I'll have to keep that one in mind.
All this time, I've been throwing my glasses in the center console making it harder for someone to steal:smokin:

Wait until he installs his lift this weekend. :)
While not my color choice, I give him credit for personalizing his Jeep to be uniquely his. Good Job Heath!

I just painted mine.
Super easy to do and does lots to spice up the (non-Sahara) interior!

do i have to sand the rings or can just spray paint on there for plastic and it will stick and not scrape off?

Buy enamel that works on plastic and you are good to go.
Just make sure you don't over-apply; layer it over 5-6 coats.
