I've had the luck or so I thought to be out of the country for the past 5 huricane seasons. Looks like I'll be here for all the hurricane parties now:grinpimp:

I went to the liquor store today. I have my emergency kit ready to go. Freaking category 1 hurricane. What a pussy storm.

I promise you this: if the hurricane comes through here in the day, I am going swimming when it's full on ripping. I'll shoot some video.

Ah well it finally hit the dreaded CAT 1!:mr-t:I pity the poor media weather staff. Those suckers are out there just trying to hype it up for more excitement. I saw the news earlier today and I a guy in Key West had to use about 5 minutes of time to explain how the wind (roughly 25mph) was gusting upwards of 35-40mph. HAHA.

On a side note, walmart in Ocala had 6 gallon jerry cans for around $8 when I was at HardRock.

Oh and you can fit a 6 pack of bee....er cola in a camelback:grinpimp:

Was awesome at my house last night. Almost like a fall preview. Sat in the hot tub on the back porch, wind was whipping, temps were mild. I feel for the SOBs on the east coast drowning, but Fay really made it nice at my house last night.

edit: I'm going to the bucs game saturday night. Hope things dont go south.

I just ran outside and got a 10-15mph steady wind. I think the trees back here help out a bit though. Here's a shot out my window.

So I got bored, bought a CB, installed it in the monsoon, went to go wheeling and then...I went to put the 3 Legged Zebra in 4H and nothing. The damn transfer case linkage came off. I ended up crawling under and putting it back on. Man is that a crappy design. Nothing holding it on other than a little friction type connector.

Anyway, we hit a few little trails and found a big(by Fl statndards) sand hill. Got a couple pics.

I got some great film from in town I'll post up in the next day or two. This storm decided to park right over my home today.
