Seeing how this weekend is Mother's Day, I thought I would see who's interested in running next Saturday the 15th.

We ran the most difficult trail at Uwharrie and I can honestly say that the near zero visibility on the 2 way access roads was more dangerous than the actual trail itself lol

Here's a trail map for Uwharrie incase you don't have one.
We ran " Daniel / 390 " which they have listed as their most Extremely Difficult trail.
If you are used to running anything moderate to difficult, just go straight to that trail.

I heard they took one of the ledges out of Daniel... Is that true? that would blow.

I will also finally be doing something Jeep related this weekend... installing my sleeve and c gussets. You know I gotta keep the axle strong for all this Mall Crawling I've been doing...

It was my first time there so I have nothing to compare the current trail to what it might have been before my trip. Is this the ledge you were thinking of? It's on a 90* right hand turn going uphill if you were ascending the trail.

The bowl going up Dickey Bell at the hill climb is worse then that.. A group of us watched a Land Rover standup on it's rear axle.. We thought for sure it was going to flip.. But never did..

Is that second ledge about 100 yards past the first one around an S curve?
To be honest, the whole trail was kind of a blurr as nothing particular stuck out to me. I just kind of moved along.
I remember an S curve after the first ledge but don't remember a ledge.
I was with Sin and Tkob, they might be able to tell you if that second ledge is there or not better than I could cause apparently I don't remmember it being there if it was lol

That was April last year... the second ledge was getting nasty... and yes it was a hard left, then a hard right and you were at the second ledge.

I had an awesome spotter for that run... nobody in are group had to winch and I was only locked in the rear.

Looks like they made some changes then.. Just like they did to Dickey Bell.. Back in 06.. A group from LOST Libby owners got together and did Dickey Bell.. It was nice and cool.. But then in 09, The trails had change.. I wouldn't take a stock libby on it now..

Amazing how much it can change from year to year... I've been told that GUlches has done a lot of work and I should barely recognize it when I go next time.
