looks like we might get 2 inches of snow but this trip is rain or shine so don't bail out. we went up to badlands in jan and had some snow on the ground and was about 12 degrees. couldn't of had more fun. looks like it will be warmer at least

i wanted to post up and let everyone know that about 5 to 10 of us will be wheeling down at redbird offroad park on sat the 27th. it is located near linton indiana. i think we are meeting around 9:00 sat morning. if you want to go post up here or pm me and i will give you more details. this should be a fun trip and may be mud or snow but i am sure it will be fun. it is 10 bucks for all day and the trails are well marked. there will be one or two stock jeeps so no matter what you have done or haven't done to your ride it will be welcomed. should be a good time so lets get some members together. don't tell me it is to far cause there are guys driving 5 hours to come. so unless you are farther than that no excuses.:thefinger: looking forward to the run thanks.

here is a link to the redbird website for address and directions.

http://www.redbirdsra.com/ (http://www.redbirdsra.com/)

If you will be attending post up and I will add you to the list.

Park opens at 9 so that will be the meeting time. 10 sharp will be when the group rolls out for the trails.

CB channel will be 13.

I have heard about McCaslin and the pipeline up north in WI. none of which I have personally been to. I havent been on any "trails". I am used to friends places with fields and mudholes.

It's a loooong drive (10 hrs?) but i could make a weekend out of it... I will think this over, it would be the first offroad i'd ever do with my stock 2010 JK... Would that be wise?

I think you would be perfectly fine....just be prepared for a messy trip. All this snow melting is going to make it fun :)

I wish I could go but I will be getting my Jeep regeared in Ft Wayne. 5.13s and ARB lockers :thefinger:

there will be a few stock jeeps so you won't be alone. 10hrs is a long drive but it will be fun. there are a few people staying in terre haute at the super 8 if you want a room near by i would recomend the pear tree inn. for 10 bucks more you can live without the cockroaches lol. i am not sure who all will be wheeling on sunday but i think some might be.

As this would be my first time wheeling, I have not purchased winch, straps, cb or anything yet. I am more than stock, 3'5" lift with 1" body, 35" mt'rs and anti-rock. No recovery gear though.

Would I be welcome or shunned? I guess it depends on if I get hung or not....

You will be perfectly fine then. Everyone you are going with will have recovery gear and winches so if you get in a bind they will be there to help you out.

Floyds Knobs, Straight down 65 around Exit 6 and a bit west. Heard Interlake is kind of close by as well, maybe 1 hourish away out 64W. Just moved up from FL. Never wheeled there. Life got in the way too much....

Damn, i was planning the trip when my girlfriend came in and said we have other obligations on sunday... I would have to make a daytrip out of it and it's too far for that.. So i'm bailing out. Better luck when it's in west-Michigan someday...

I almost had a completely free weekend, but my wife cancelled a trip to Louisville with her mother. Will have to see if we have the day free. Don't have a CB, unfortunately, but would like to check Redbird out.

i spent about 3 hours power washing and wiping down the inside too today! Finished just in time to start watching the Las Vegas Race....

I love playing in the mud but it sure makes for a lot of clean up....while working on it I wondered how those Professinal mud-boggers, tractor pull guys do it and keep their rigs looking so good??? Is there some space-aged spray to put all over to make the mud fall off easier after it's dried on :D I should have hit it while it was wet but didn't get around to it until today

i don't know but if you find something let me know lol. i still havent cleaned up the inside yet lol. had a good time and looking forward to a summer full of runs. your jeep did real well and with a set of good mud tires you can do most of the stuff you want run. nice to meet you guys and remember if i am speeding over in columbus try and be nice lol.

Great pics! So sorry I missed out...try to work it out next time. As it stands, that much mud may have resulted in a lot of me getting yanked out (stock AT's bog down quick, it seems).

Great looking Weimaraner too. My 3 1/2 month old is passed out on the bed right now. looking forward to bringing him on some runs this summer

This is of the group run at Redbird State Riding Area near Dugger, Indiana on 2-27-2010. About 10 of us got VERY muddy. Sorry for the poor video quality, but it was all shot with my little Nikon camera. There is about 9 minutes of Video at first, followed by about 2 minutes of just Photos at the end, so have about 11:22 MINUTES to watch it all. I tried to keep it moving quickly with ACTION and good Tunes.......ENJOY:beer:
