I dragged this rock around a bit. After all was said and done, it was known as " Rob's Rock".

"Rage344's Rock" was under there, somewhere. I don't think Eugene and Jon B found it either. :wink_animate:

Cut a tire, running 8lbs. These are not beadlocks. Normally run at 10-12 lbs.

Eugene also had a broken valve stem. He McGivered it with some duct tape and rubber cement. He drove 100 miles before having to add air and made it the rest of the way home. Nice work.

Nice pics! And I was doing 25 in 4th:thefinger: Ahh the advantages of a manual tranny. I think the manual tranny is why I can scoot a trail so fast. I'll explain it the next time I see you.

How did it break? Were you struggling with that hole? The hole that you were in generally eats built TJ's for breakfast and I guess it was the same for a regular JK. I have found that if you stay on the three rocks on driver you will walk right up it. I know that if feels best to naturally work to the right but it will break your **** unless you have the wheelbase like an unlimited or 4 runner. Here is a pic of my TJ getting eaten by the hole, and here is the JK walking up it.....completely stock.

I think Eugene intended to take the line you described . He is familiar with the trail. I'll let Eugene explain from his perspective.

Wheelbase helps alot on this obstacle. Rob had no problem getting over, and I have run it with Toyota PU's that climb it well also. My problem is I was to far left. I should have backed off and reset my line :bawling:. But even then when I snapped the joint I didn't have much of any turn going, nor was I spinning the tires. Oh well, a learning experience.

Before it snows?!?! It's more fun with snow on the ground. Best way to run it with snow is from the reservoir to Lake Alpine. This way most of the hard obstacles are early and down hill. If you like the trail you can turn around and come back out, or if it has been a long day then you come out at HWY 4.:)

We usually run it from Blue Lakes as it's closer to us. Snow is fun but not when you want to camp!!
