I have seen this around several times, recently on the Cal4wheel website.
Good vintage film of the Sierra Jamboree on the Rubicon Trail. There are two parts. Pretty cool to watch. Some of you may have already viewed this. Copying the URL brought each vid up twice. Go figure.

That's pretty cool. Amazing to do it in one day with such a large group. The only time I tried that with a group we didn't reach pavement until 02:00!

At the 7:10 mark in the first video, they drive through little sluice. No way you're going to drive through it like that today.

Looking at the CA license plates, they appear to be the black background with yellow lettering. I know the film is monochrome, haha. A quick search shows these plates issued from 1963 to 1969.
